my favorite fresh DIY mask is super simple and effective.
i mix 1/2 organic avocado with ascorbic acid (vitamin c) to make a paste, then apply to my skin with paint brush.
the avocado is nourishing and soothing, while the vitamin c is healing, brightening, and collagen-promoting! it will likely tingle a little bit – that’s normal. if it’s too much, remove the mask.
i like to use this mask at night, after lightly exfoliating with my jan marini AHA cleanser – i just leave it on for 5 minutes then wipe off with a warm, wet washcloth. please note that using vitamin c in the morning will make your skin more photosensitive.
i leave it on for 15-20 minutes then rinse it off well.
